Wenge is a straight-grained dark brownish wood, which almost seems black when given an oil finish. The tangential surface consists of pencil-thin light lines interspersed with blackish brown lines creating a wave-like pattern within the wood.
Our Wenge handlebars are treated with natural furniture oil, which gives the handlebars the dark colour and emphasizes the grain structure. The Wenge handlebars must be wiped clean with a soft damp cloth in order not to damage the texture and surface of the handlebars. Over time the Wenge handlebars might become lighter in colour, if so, it is suggested to treat them with neutral furniture oil.
